Moving right along with the next free-for-all-day, here are the last two chapters of The Unwilling Hero Continue Reading
Behind the cut you’ll find the first two chapters of my SS fic. (on account of, that’s all I have so far) It began as a short fic for a trope bingo prompt but I just couldn’t go there, and it grew, so forget TB, it’s SS time. :) Set in season 4, not long after the spell, but before things get too heavy with Riley, Adam, et all. Really just all about the Spuffy and only enough plot to make it happen. :)
The Unwilling Hero
Word count (total)13638
Here’s the second fic for today. It’s a follow up to
The Gentleman Wore Leather
(in which Ethan’s spell doesn’t break quite so soon and Spike has thrown helpless Buffy over his shoulder and run off. He seduces her into thinking they’re married and has sex with her before ripping her dress off and accidentally breaking the spell. After it has broken, in spite of Buffy’s dismay and anger, they finish what they were doing and she finds herself with a very unfamiliar and gentle vampire who refuses fit her vision of evil. He lets her have his coat so she can get home without putting the dress back on, and she leaves it on her roof for him. In the morning, the coat is gone and in its place is a single red rose.)
Warnings for references to non-con, underage sex and a non-happy Spuffy ending.
The Gentleman Takes His Leave
Word count 3478
Summary: Buffy tries to fit back into her life and forget what happened to her on Halloween. Harder than you might think….
Wildly AU – season 2 Continue Reading
After worrying I’d have nothing, I ended up with two short fics. One is one and done, the other could obviously have created an AU Sunnydale where it could be continued… Both somewhat use the theme of magic gone wrong; this one is actually based on a prompt from somewhere else – probably sb_fag_ends….
Try it, You’ll Like it!
Seasonal Spuffy – Spring 2013
Word count: 5782
Summary: Buffy has a problem. Can Spike help her work it out? Will it change their relationship at all? Continue Reading
These may be the last chapters I put up here. Chapter Eight is completed and Ch. Nine as been started, but that’s about it, so not ready to put up. I’ll come back and provide links to the other chapters as I get them posted either here or on my own journals.
So, under the cut, Chapters Six and Seven in which things come out and Glory gets closer.
The chapters are getting longer now, so only two in this set.
Title: A Friend in Need
Summary: A sequel to a short (6200+) off-canon Season Four fic – Even Demons Need Friends, but I don’t think you need to have read that STORY (although it’s kinda fun…). All you need to know is that this is a non-canon Season 5 in which Glory is there searching for her Key, Joyce is sick, Spike is unchipped and living in another city. At the end of the previous story, he’d asked Buffy to call him if she needed help.
They don’t have a relationship yet; they weren’t even much more than canon Season Four semi-enemies, with an unrecognized and unacknowledged sexual attraction, when Ethan’s spell to turn Giles into a Fyral demon wrought some important changes in a very short period of time. But not changes sufficient to make it likely that a slayer, with a human boyfriend and a firm belief in what’s right and acceptable, and an old vampire, who has just regained his ability to hunt and feed, are likely to see any kind of a future for them. In spite of some surprising revelations about how they may feel about each other.
You can assume that the rest of Season Four and some of Season Five have proceeded pretty much as in canon, but without Spike’s presence. That absence, and the reason for it, has changed things enough that I think it’s fair to call this an AU Season Five. Some things will be familiar, some things obviously will not, so don’t go looking for an identical timeline or identical events.
So, my day! I’ve got two things: The first (below) is set in the verse I (unintentionally) started with Things That Go Bump in the Night. By now, in addition to that original long fic, there are lots of ficlets documenting Spike and Buffy’s early years together (thanks to Schmoop Bingo). All you really need to know about that verse, is that quite a few years after Chosen and NFA, Buffy found Spike again, and after the aforementioned long fic, Spike is now fully human but has the same slayer powers as Buffy. This ficlet is set many years in the future, when their family has grown and now includes grandchildren. The title is one of Spike’s lines from the show – he just had no idea how long it would be until it actually happened…
Title: “Always Knew I’d Go Down Fightin’”
Summary: Spike and Buffy wonder if they’ve become too old to be effective slayers. Turns out they get a chance to find out… (see above for backstory)
Disclaimer: Not my characters and no money is being made off them.
Thanks: to gillo who offered to look this over for me before it went up, and as always, improved it greatly. Any mistakes left are due to my tinkering and/or ignoring her good advice. ☺
And here it is. The last chapter! Made it by 8:30. I hope you’ve had a good time with it. Many thanks to the mods for continuing to keep this community going. So many great things come out of it every season – and it makes me want to write something special every time.
Three chapters at a time seemed to work last time. These three may be just a tad over the line, so we’ll see what happens. If they all fit, then I only have one more to get up tonight and I will be all done and with a couple of hours to spare!
Moving right along – I see that the community rules say not to link to elsewhere, so I’ll try to get it all up tonight. Maybe I can do three chapters at a time? Might try that. I know many readers like to get one chapter at a time, spread out so they have time to read, but you don’t get that if you buy a book, so… I’ll try to find time this weekend to go back and link the chapters to make it easier on everyone. Meanwhile, behind the cut…
I’m going to get up as much as I can tonight, but I think one or two more after this will be about it. Then I’ll link to my journal(s)
Chapters Five and Six are lurking behind the cut:
I’m sneaking on here at work (they block LJ, but I guess DW is too new or too small to make the “social network” radar) to post two more chapters. They’re pretty long, but I think I can fit two of them on one post.
Here are Ch. 3 and 4 of “If That’s What it Takes”
Here’s the second chapter – I hope to get some more posted during the day today, but it depends a lot on how my RL stuff goes. If it doesn’t work out, then I’ll be posting tonight as long as I can.
Titlle: If That’s What it Takes
Word count/chapters: 36,400 + or – (13 Chapters)
Rating: Strong R (eventually)
Not my characters, not my world. Very grateful Joss allows me to play there.

Summary: Takes place in an alternate season six where Buffy did not die in a dive off Glory’s tower, but was still gone for a good bit of the summer. Without the depression caused by her resurrection, she has accepted Spike’s presence more readily and learned to appreciate the help and companionship he can offer as she goes about her nightly duties. The Nerd Trio are still the villains of the season, but things play out a little differently from canon, starting with a portal that Willow accidentally opens where Buffy and Spike are standing…
Okay, according to the calendar, this is Open Posting day at the comm. I hope that’s right. Behind the cut is a little thing I wrote on a bunny from Taming_the_Muse. Missed getting it done in time for that week at Taming, and missed finishing it in time to post on my posting date here by a day. So here it is. Set in Season Nine comics, but I don’t think you need to be overly familiar with them to enjoy it. For lack of imagination and thought, it is entitled “INK”.
Summary and AN: The Taming the Muse prompt last week was “Ink” and it immediately gave me a bunny. Didn’t get the bunny finished in time to use it for a Taming entry, nor in time to add to my Seasonal Spuffy day entry, but here it is now. Set in the comics Season Nine, just after the end of issue #1 and the beginning of issue #2 – it’s AU for what’s happening so far, of course. But not out of the realm of possibility…
Whew! This is a short chapter. I may have to change that R to a strong R or NC 17. I dunno. I’m losing my ability to know where to draw the line. There’s nothing kinky or terribly explicit… I guess I’ll stick with R, but emphasize it’s strong. Again, not beta’d yet, so…
Chapter Eleven! Only one short chapter to go after this one. alwaysjbj has not had an opportunity to run her eagle eye over these last two chapters yet, so any mistakes shouldn’t be blamed on her. (Nor should any mistakes in the previous chapters which are more likely to be due to my incessant fiddling after the fact.)
Chapter Ten – the end is in sight!
